ICFRC: UI Undergraduate Students Speak on Topics about Human Rights

Over the past weeks Sudan has faced a governmental crisis. Ex-President Omar al-Bashir has been moved to prison and a transitional military council has taken reigns of the country. Sara Hassan plans to cover the current uprisings that are taking place in her country, Sudan. She will provide a brief historical context on the Sudanese governmental regime, giving a sense of what the anger on the streets of Sudan is stemming from.

Caitlin Chenus is a senior at the University of Iowa and a Rex Honey Intern at the University site of Iowa Center for Human Rights.
